What is Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) Mold?
SMC mold is a kind of mold in the hot press molding process. SMC molds require a heating system for the mold cavity and core. And the temperature difference is maintained at about 5 degrees Celsius. After the process parameters are set, the sheet mold material (SMC Composite) is put into the mold, the mold is closed, and the composite material is melted into the cavity of the set temperature and pressure, which is called the smc mold.
